What is the Dress Code?

Cocktail Attire
with midi or longer hemlines is requested

Our ceremony will take place in a Catholic church.
Please choose respectful attire.

Classic and elegant is perfect, no need to go over the top, wear whatever makes you feel best!

We can't wait to see everyone dressed up with us!

What colors should I NOT wear?

If you’re anything like Greta, you always worry about wearing the same color as the bridesmaids as a guest, so that being said…

We kindly ask guests to avoid shades of blue, as we are reserving this for our “something blue” team.

Shouldn’t have to be said but white is for the bride - be respectful of her.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 3:00pm. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early to get your seats, you don't want to miss out on the ceremony.

Be mindful this is a Catholic church, and a sacred space; if you’d like to catch up with friends and family, please do so at a respectful volume or step outside.

Can I Bring a Plus One?

If your invitation included a plus one, their name (or “+1”) will be listed on the envelope or RSVP details.

If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and ask.

How Long Will the Ceremony Be?

Since this is a full Catholic Mass with the Sacrament of Marriage included, you can expect the ceremony to last about one hour.

Catholic weddings within a Mass are longer than civil ceremonies, but rich in tradition, meaning, and beauty.

I don’t know what this mass is going to be like. Help?

This will be a full Catholic Mass, along with the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage.

If you're unfamiliar with the flow of a Catholic Mass, don’t worry! Just follow along with the worship aid provided and take cues from those around you.
Most importantly: listen and be present.

There will be moments of sitting, standing, and kneeling; participate only as much as you feel comfortable and able.

What should I not do in church?

Since the ceremony is taking place in a Catholic church, we kindly ask everyone to treat the space with reverence: it’s a sacred place of worship. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

Silence or turn off your phone before entering and refrain from using it during the Mass; this includes taking pictures.

No food, gum, or drinks inside the church.

Please dress and act respectfully; when in doubt, it’s best to err on the side of caution.

Above all: don’t stress: you’re there to celebrate love!

What doI do at Communion?

Only practicing Catholics should receive Communion; everyone else is welcome to remain seated or come forward with their arms crossed for a blessing (optional).

This is the most sacred part of the mass, as a Catholic, one believes that the Eucharist is the Body, Blood and Divinity of Jesus Christ, it is not just a symbol.
